About Napa Christmas Lights
A local, owner-operated holiday lighting company serving Napa Valley and Sonoma. Veteran owned, family run, and small enough that the person who quotes your house is the person on the ladder.

Napa Christmas Lights exists because of a gap that is obvious once you have looked for an installer here. The valley is full of homes and hospitality properties that deserve to be lit well, and there are almost no companies doing it properly. Most people end up choosing between a national franchise reading from a script, a handyman with a staple gun, or a Saturday on their own ladder.
We are a small, local, veteran-owned and family-run business based in the city of Napa. We install from American Canyon up valley to Calistoga, and over the hill to Sonoma.
What we actually believe about this work
- The measuring is the job. Custom-cut runs on a measured roofline are the entire difference between a display that looks designed and one that looks improvised. Everything else is execution.
- Nothing gets fastened into your house. No nails, no staples, no screws — on any building, ever. Clips are chosen for the surface and removed with the lights.
- Never walk a tile roof. A cracked tile is a leak that appears months later, and by then nobody connects it to the lights. We work tile homes entirely from the perimeter and turn down work that would require otherwise.
- January is part of the job. Takedown and storage are included, because a company that disappears after install day has solved the wrong half of the problem.
- Say no clearly. If a run is not safe, or a roofline does not suit permanent lighting, or a quote should be smaller than you expected, we say so. Every page on this site has a section about what we will not do, and we mean them.
Why local matters here
Wine country has its own conditions and a national script does not account for them:
- Tile roofs across huge parts of Napa, Yountville and American Canyon.
- Fire-wise thinking — everything comes down in January so nothing degrades in defensible space through the dry season.
- Wind funnelling up the valley, worst at the Calistoga end, needing closer run support on exposed elevations.
- Set-back properties where the approach and the trees carry the display, not the roofline.
- A hospitality economy that does its biggest business in December and cannot afford a dark facade on an event night.
What we are not going to claim
This is a new business. We would rather be straight about that than invent a history:
- No made-up review counts, testimonials or job numbers. When we have real ones, they will appear here with names attached.
- No years-in-business claims we have not earned.
- Photos on this site are illustrative — they show what the service is, not jobs we have completed. Our own work will replace them as we do it, and we will label it clearly when it does.
What we do claim is verifiable: local, veteran owned, family run, owner-operated, transparent pricing, a method we will explain in detail, and takedown included.
